Throughout her tenure as Founder and CEO of NAKAI, Melanie Lang led the company to be named to the P500 list of Canada’s fastest-growing companies for both years it was nominated. This recognition highlights her commitment to operational excellence, customer experience, and business transformation. NAKAI became known for blending luxury with exceptional service, cultivating strong client relationships and a prominent market presence.

After selling her shares in NAKAI Group in 2024, Melanie Lang was determined to continue her work in the spa and wellness industry—an industry she has grown to love deeply. Her passion for the sector and her commitment to its growth led her to found JALA Spa & Wellness Alliance. JALA was created to elevate the entire industry through education, collaboration, and innovation. Melanie’s goal is to see all spas live up to their full potential, just as NAKAI did under her leadership.
